Parktown Golfer impresses with her skills at the Parkview Golf Club

PARKVIEW – Dineo Kwetepane has played for the Central Gauteng Golf Union (CGGU) Nomads each year since 2017 and has held the title of the B Division winner each year.

Parktown High School for Girls is proud of Grade 11 learner and golfer Dineo Kwetepane who has a 13 handicap and works hard on weekends to improve her golf.

Dineo has been playing golf for the past eight years as a sponsored member of the Parkview Golf Club. She played in the South African Women’s Open in 2016 as an amateur golfer partnered up with a professional golfer, where they placed 20th out of 100 teams. She has played for the Central Gauteng Golf Union Nomads each year since 2017 and has held the title of the B Division winner each year. She also plays for her club in weekly league games against other clubs in which she has won titles such as nearest to the pin, player of the day and sportswoman of the day.

Dineo has now entered an amateur golf tournament which will take place in August in Gauteng, with the second leg taking place in Europe.

Director of sport at Parktown Girls Catherine van Eyk said, “We are very proud of our young golfer who works very hard on weekends and puts a lot of time and energy into improving her golf.”

Any Parktown Girls who are interested in playing golf can contact Van Eyk for details of how to get involved at the Parkview Golf Club.
