Crescent Lifestyle empowers the underprivileged through giving back

PARKTOWN – Crescent Lifestyle donated a total of R505 766 to charities.

 

A Parktown-based business devoted to unifying the Muslim community at a national level celebrated their 10th anniversary by donating R505 766 to beneficiaries selected by their members at a ceremony on 4 December.

Crescent Lifestyle has the mission to empower, unify and enhance the Muslim lifestyle by creating sustainable revenue by offering various value-added products which are relevant to the Muslim community.

Crescent Lifestyle managing director Al-Firnas Patel said, “Uniting the community through a shared vision of empowering underprivileged communities was one of the key goals when we started the company, and Alhamdullilah, after 10 years in operation we can humbly say that we have made progress in that direction.”

They were also proud to announce that over 10 years, they have donated a total of R5 million back to the community.

This year, 178 beneficiaries from across the country benefitted from donations from Crescent Lifestyle.

Notable mentions included a R50 000 donation to Beitul Aman Old Age Home in Cape Town, a beneficiary nominated by influencer Nazaam Carr, who is also a Springbok Rugby player.

Gift of the Givers received a handsome sum of R40 895.55, while Al-Imdaad Foundation received R23 994.72 and Ikageng Orphans with HIV received R23 108.12, amongst others.
