#HaveYourSay: How do small and medium enterprises contribute to SA’s economy?

The Rosebank Killarney Gazette asked the attendees of the Global Entrepreneurship Week to share their thoughts on how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) contribute to the economy of the country. This is what they had to say...

ASHAYLAN PILLAY: SMEs enable entrepreneurs to positively contribute to the GDP of the country, increase employment and helps reduce the crime that goes with lack of employment.

JENNA SEGAL – SMEs should be the way we understand business for the future. We talk about diversity but we don’t see it in businesses today yet we should be promoting it as consumers, corporates and government.
MPHO BALOYI: We need more of these events because there’s a lot to learn especially for us BEEs. We also need these events to come to reach remote areas as some of us stay far and have to travel here.
