Planned building evacuation to cause traffic disruptions in Baker Street and Cradock Avenue in Rosebank

ROSEBANK – Be aware of the road closures on Cradock Avenue and Baker Street in Rosebank this morning.

Commuters should be aware of the planned building evacuation taking place today between 9am and 11am at Standard Bank at 30 Baker Street, Rosebank, affecting traffic in the area.

The following roads will be closed off:

  • Cradock Avenue between Bolton and Baker
  • Baker Street between Bath and Cradock

Hayley Crane from Standard Bank said, “Standard Bank would like to apologise to residents and commuters who may experience some disruption to traffic flow in and around Cradock and Baker Streets. We have implemented a number of measures to ensure minimum disruption including having relevant emergency services on site to assist.”

“This includes Emergency Services and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department who will both be in attendance for the duration of the planned evacuation and will assist in directing traffic and ensuring the safety of the drill,” she added.

Road users are encouraged to bear in mind the disruptions for this time and the impacted areas if planning to travel to Rosebank.
