Rosebank Primary takes on Yeshiva College Primary

SANDTON – The Rosebank Primary school netball team portrayed their nimbleness as they went on against Yeshiva College Primary in their third league.

The young sprightly learners from Rosebank Primary took on Yeshiva College Primary on the Rosebank netball field.

It was a spectacular sight as these very young U11 and U10 girls portrayed seasoned training and experience much closer to professional netball players.

Not only were there teachers and cheerleaders but a number of parents also showed up on 24 April to support their children. “I work close to the school so it suited me just fine to come by and watch my little girl play,” Sue Morris, a supporting mom enthused.

The girls have league games every week and must accomplish eight league games in total. This was their third league so there are still more to come, including an upcoming match between Rosebank Primary and Wendywood Primary in May.

Depending on accumulated points in the league, the teams will proceed to play-offs. Rosebank coach Jocelyn Blackie expressed her optimism in her team and indicated that they gave it their all regardless of the end results.

Visiting A team from Yeshiva College Primary took home 13 scores and left their hosts with just 3 scores. The Yeshiva B team also collected 9 scores leaving Rosebank with 5.

Supporting parents for the home team also have not lost hope for their children and are looking forward to upcoming games which they assume will raise the points a little higher in preparation for the play-offs.
