Pridwin Prep helps Angels Baby Sanctuary

MELROSE – Angels Baby Sanctuary received some donations recently from the CEO School Sleep Out initiative.

Pridwin Preparatory School’s grade 5’s spent the night sleeping outdoors at their School SleepOut™ recently. The idea was to gain a sense of empathy for the homeless, and less fortunate. They also collected much-needed items, such as nappies and formula, for their selected Beneficiary, Angel’s Baby Sanctuary.

The learners managed to collect a huge amount of items, which covered the school stage and overflowed onto the hall floor. They were handed over to Angel’s Baby Sanctuary in a special assembly at the school on 7 July. Angel’s thanked the learners for their donations, which would make a big difference to the lives of the babies that are looked after in the home.

Angels is an organisation dedicated to the welfare of abandoned, orphaned, sickly or abused babies.

School SleepOut™s will be taking place across the country between June and 8 August 2017. Register for a School SleepOut™.
