Zuma spotted at Gupta religious ceremony in Saxonwold

SAXONWOLD - President Jacob Zuma attended the Hindu ceremony held by the Gupta family at the Military Museum in Saxonwold on 20 April.

The week-long religious event has been taking place since 16 April and will conclude on 23 April.  Zuma arrived at the event accompanied by several blue light vehicles seen parked on the lawn of the Military Museum.

Zuma was photographed at the event kneeling before the priest and speaking over a microphone to the crowd present with a garland he received from the priest.

According to reports, a Times journalist was allegedly manhandled by security at the event and claimed that security deleted photos off of her phone.

The event has previously caused controversy when some groups decided to boycott the event and civil society groups protested outside during the religious ceremonies.
