Explorers to meet at Reea Foundation this April

CRAIGHALL – The Explorers Interest and Friendship Group, a non-profit organisation, will be meeting at the Reea Foundation.

The Explorers Interest and Friendship Group invites members of the community to join them on 21 April for a visit to the Reea Foundation in Craighall.

The group will be taken on a guided tour through the foundation’s charity shop, winery and organic vegetable garden.

“Gavin Armfield from the Colourful Splendour Nursery will chat to us about their nursery on the same premises, followed by Peta-Ann Malcolm of the River Rangers whose rangers, on horseback, can be seen patrolling the river right up to Bryanston,” said the group’s Shelley Addis.

Last month, the Explorers Interest and Friendship Group met at the Turkish mosque in Midrand for a guided tour and tea at the Istanbul Café.

The group is a non-profit organisation founded in 2015 that focuses on building the community. The group gathers on the third Friday of each month for motivational talks. Last month, community members visited a Turkish mosque in Midrand and enjoyed a guided tour.

“We had a wonderful visit to the mosque last month with some of us being invited back by the mosque manager to lunch with him,” said Addis. “He was so impressed with the group’s spirit of national camaraderie.”
