Dogs have their day

PARKVIEW – Pets and owners enjoy a fun day out at the golf course.

 

The pretty, pug-faced and pedigree pooches of Parkview and surrounding suburbs had their day at Parkview Golf Club as part of the club’s year-long centenary celebrations.

More than 80 local pets turned up, brushed and pampered, to be judged in a fun event for puppies, the ugliest and cutest dogs, dogs who resembled their owners, the best six legs shared by dogs and their owner, and the dog the judges would most like to take home.

“It’s one of several events the club has arranged for the year to involve local communities in the celebration of our 100 years,” said Franco Pellegrini, chairman of the club’s centenary committee.

The afternoon included an agility display and a show of dancing dogs.
