Five people injured at Wits protest
JOHANNESBURG - Protest violence at Wits continues to intensify
Update: 2.50pm
Five people have been transported to various hospitals by ER24 paramedics who are currently on standby at Wits University.
One of the patients was treated for moderate injuries and four were treated for minor injuries.
Injuries ranged from soft tissue injuries to a sprained ankle.
The female students say their bodies are the only thing they have left to protect them from police rubber bullets. #wits #fees2017

The violence at Wits has subsided, with pupils peacefully protesting.
