Drama queen sisters are a force to be reckoned with

KILLARNEY – Double delight as sisters render earn an outstanding spot.

Levi and Quinn Hubert, sisters living in Killarney, recently earned themselves a bounty of awards at the South African Nationals Talent Africa (Santa).

The event was held in Roodepoort at the Pro-Musica Auditorium from 21 to 26 March where their flawless stage performances secured their selection to join team South Africa.

“They can now jet off to the Big Apple to participate in the international round of the competition at Talent America, representing South Africa,” their drama teacher, Linda Theron stated.

These two siblings were awarded their Gauteng colours, South African colours, certificates, medals and awards.

Levi received four gold medals. She was also awarded a trophy for her second place achievement in the acting age seven to nine category. Levi also got the third overall position of the top 10 performers from all participants in acting, dancing, vocals, instrumental and modelling in the age category four to 12. Her sister, Quinn, received three gold medals and one silver.

The students represented Linda Theron Drama Studio.

Overall, the studio qualified at Gauteng regional with 32 students, who all qualified for their South African colours to compete internationally in New York, USA. The studio won an astonishing number of medals comprising 142 gold, 50 silver and 29 bronze, various trophies and other awards.

Theron said, “These goggas are very dedicated students, always willing to take on any part and to stand in when students withdraw. I am proud to say that they are part of my studio.”
