Sponsor pads up with Proteas to give back

JOBURG - Cricket South Africa partner RAM Hand to Hand Couriers hosted a cricket coaching fun day with the Proteas T20 International squad at Supersport Park.

Cricket South Africa partner, RAM Hand to Hand Couriers hosted a cricket coaching fun day with the Proteas T20 squad at Supersport Park.

The Proteas team includes King Edward VII School old boy Quinton de Kock, former Highveld Lions all-rounder Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada.

More than 300 boys and girls aged six to 13 participated in the day which included coaching on batting, bowling, agility and field sessions, as well as chart sessions with various players.

The company’s joint managing director David Lazarus said the event was all about giving the children a special opportunity to meet and learn from their heroes.

“We wanted to make sure that the children experienced an enjoyable day in the presence of our admirable sporting champions. We have no doubt that the Proteas inspired those here, encouraging them to play, laugh, work hard and follow their dreams,” he said.

There is no doubt that the day would live long in the memories of these aspiring cricketers as they walked away smiling and clutching their signed memorabilia.
