Sapra to host AGM

SAXONWOLD –Residents living in the Saxonwold and Parkwood areas are urged to attend the Saxonwold and Parkwood Residents’ Association (Sapra) annual general meeting on 10 November.

It will be held at the South African Museum of Military History and will begin promptly at 6.30pm.

The meeting will allow residents to meet the association’s committee members as well as grant them the opportunity to join the committee if they have valuable skills to offer.

“The Fibre Optic Project will be completed in December and this has been facilitated very successfully by Sapra together with Vumatel,” said Sapra representative, Penelope Davidoff when discussing matters that would be on the agenda for the meeting. Guest speaker Bill Haslam of Sapra will be discussing the project at length during the meeting.

“The new project for 2016 is the new Saxonwold and Parkwood Precinct Plan Upgrade,” added Davidoff.

“This project will be funded by the association and will help us to protect Saxonwold and Parkwood for the next five years against unforeseen and unwelcome development.”

New chairperson of the Zoo Lake Users Committee, Fran Haslam, will also be speaking at the meeting about the progress the committee has made this year.
