WATCH: Horrific accident, car on fire
GREENSIDE- A serious accident occurred on the corner of Gleneagles and Sunningdale roads, Greenside on 2 July.
According to Facebook posts, three cars were involved in the accident, one of which caught fire.
One of the cars tried to cross over Sunningdale Road, but collided into another vehicle.
The third car was side-swiped by the other vehicles while waiting at a stop sign.
Residents on the I Love Greenside Facebook page commented that this was a frequent accident zone.
It was reported that at least one of the drivers involved was transported to hospital.
Members of the group have suggested that a traffic circle at the intersection would make a difference, and should be investigated.
It was also reported on the page that community members tried to extinguish the burning car using garden hoses before the fire department arrived on the scene.
