Don’t miss the St Francis singers this Easter

PARKVIEW - A PRESENTATION of readings and music depicting the crucifixion of Jesus Christ will be presented by the St Francis Singers in Parkview on 22 March.

The performance consists of readings selected especially for the occasion and music from The Crucifixion, the well-known Easter oratorio by John Stainer.

The audience will be able to participate by joining in the singing of popular Easter hymns and songs.

Director of music for the St Francis Singers, Ruth Coggin said, “Easter is the central focus of the Christian calendar and has inspired some beautiful songs. Our aim is to create a moving account of the dramatic events of Christ’s trial and crucifixion that we hope will be a deeply moving and spiritual experience.”

All are welcome to attend the performance which starts at 5pm at the St Francis Anglican Church, 46 Tyrone Avenue, Parkview.

Refreshments will be served after the performance.

Entrance is free and a retiring collection will be taken.
