Planned water interruption in Parkview

PARKVIEW - There will be a planned water interruption in parts of Parkview on 12 February.

Ward 87 councilor Amanda Forsythe explained that the scheduled interruption is a part of the upgrade that Johannesburg Water has been implementing in the suburb.

The City will perform a ‘tie-in’ pipe connection for the new pipes that were put in.

Eamon Allan, community liaison officer from Johannesburg Water, has stated that only areas around Tyrone Avenue between Galway Avenue and Kerry Road, as well as Kerry Road between Tyrone and Dundalk avenues, will be affected.

Allan also indicated that though it may also be possible that some houses within the vicinity will not have their water supply halted, residents should still be prepared.

The duration of the water interruption will be from 8am to 4.30pm.
