Lucky local family wins competition
SAXONWOLD - The Coetzee family from Saxonwold were one of two lucky families that won the KFC Join the Proteas Family Competition.
The competition, launched in December last year, invited cricket fans to correctly answer Protea trivial questions. The ultimate prize was a family holiday to Australia to support the Proteas at the cricket world cup.
“We still can’t believe we are going to Australia, my family and I are so excited and are counting the number of sleeps
till we board that plane. We can’t wait to proudly wear our national colours and support them in Sydney,” said Gavin Coetzee.
“Our entire family loves cricket…[one of our daughters] Georgina plays provincial cricket. We have travelled overseas before, but it’s our first time travelling to Australia.We definitely want to do a lot of sightseeing,” said stay-at-home mom, Debbie Coetzee.
The Coetzee family have expressed their excitement and said they would like to wish the Proteas the best of luck for all their matches.
The winning family will leave on 20 February, where they will get the opportunity to enjoy a number of breathtaking experiences such as a tour of the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, lunch overlooking stunning Bondi Beach and a trip to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
