Bra run in Parkhurst
PARKHURST - The breast cancer awareness bra run will take place on 4th Avenue Parkhurst, starting at 11.30am on 26 October.
Participants will dash from Craft to the Jolly Roger and back.
Many traders and businesses in the area have supported this initiative and have donated vouchers to distribute to those who partake on the day.
The Pink Drive Mobile Clinic will be parked on 4th Avenue to promote awareness and to demonstrate breast self-exam techniques. The Pink Drive will also have a table outside Craft where they will be collecting donations.
The event last took place in 2011 and saw participants bravely run in pink bras. This year organisers are expecting a number of celebrities and a much larger crowd to attend.
