Kids get safety smart
CRAIGHALL PARK – Security company ADT held a home safety skills interactive show for children at Academy for Kidz.
Entertainer Darrin McDowall had the pupils’ attention through the Baddies and Buddies show, which focused on bullying, home robberies, getting help in dangerous situations and respecting fellow citizens.
In a fun and friendly manner, McDowall also shared personal safety tips with the pupils, including not accepting pills without the consent of their parents, not touching or pulling electric plugs, and playing with fire. He gave the pupils interactive advice on how to deal with danger in their homes.
ADT believes children are never too young to learn about safety skills.
The security company offers safety shows for free to schools and accepts requests from teachers and parents to book a show for their school.
