Donate your unwanted items to Deansgate

THOSE preparing to downsize or feeling the need to de-clutter and make a fresh start, can donate to a worthy cause.

Non-profit and local organisation, Deansgate Retirement Village will hold its morning market on 6 September.

The organisation appealed to all community members to donate books, well-kept secondhand clothing, jewellery, plants and any items that could fill up their stalls on the day of the market.

According to Sandra Cadle from Deansgate, the morning market, organised and manned by the residents themselves, is one of the major fundraising events held by the retirement village.

Parks residents are also urged to pop in on the morning of the market to enjoy some tea and scones under the trees in the garden.

“There will also be delicious cakes and bakes for sale. Those in attendance can also stroll around the stalls and take a peek at our beautiful, bright and sunny cottages and rooms, in tranquil surroundings,” said Cadle.

Donations can be dropped off at Deansgate, 21 Herpo Road, Craighall Park.
