Plumber’s vehicle gets stolen in Illovo

ILLOVO – Bramley police are searching for a stolen vehicle that had been parked in Illovo.

Police said the owner had parked his white Isuzu bakkie close to Atherstone and Rudd Roads in Illovo. “[He] went inside [a] premises to do plumbing, doors and windows were properly locked and the gear lock was activated,” said Bramley police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela.

However, when the man returned to the vehicle to fetch more equipment, it was nowhere to be seen. Inside the vehicle was plumbing materials and tools, said Maphakela.

The value of the stolen vehicle is estimated at R60 000. Police have appealed to anyone who may have information that could lead to an arrest to come forward.
