On Saturday, as the ANC celebrated a landslide victory after the elections, Motlanthe was saying his vows at the ceremony which was attended by 300 guests and conducted by Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba.

Motlanthe, who had been married to Mapula got a divorce settlement in March.

Their wedding date, (May 10) coincides with the date on which Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as the country’s first democratically elected president in 1994.
