Applied psychology students graduate

PARKTOWN – 36 students recently celebrated their graduation from The South African College of Applied Psychology’s (SACAP) Johannesburg campus at Parktown High School.

Damian Burrows, who graduated with a Higher Certificate in Counselling and Communications Skills, received the Principal’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to College Life. The Academic Deans Merit Awards went to Sachin Ram Asary for Achievement of the Highest Academic Standard in the Higher Certificate in Counselling and Communication Skills; Claudia Campbell for Achievement of the Highest Academic Standard in the Advanced Certificate in Counselling and Communication, and Nicola Cooper for Achievement of the Highest Academic Standard in the Diploma in Counselling and Communication.

Principal of the institution Dr Hermanean Laauwen said, “We are very proud of all our graduates and are excited about them taking the skills they’ve learnt at SACAP into the South African workplace, joining an inspired workforce of support counsellors that will be able to make a difference and effectively address the mental health needs of all South Africans.”
