JOBURG - British soul superstar Joss Stone has added some rocking local flavour to her upcoming Joburg concerts.

Promoters Big Concerts announced that The Muffinz will open for Stone when she performs at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on 2 April.

The trio were later joined by Gregory ‘Keke’ Mabusela and Karabo ‘Skabz’ Moeketsi.

Talking about the group’s choice of name, Sibanda said, “We wanted a name that would be remembered; something catchy, but a name that people would want to find out more about.”

Her second album, the multi-platinum Mind, Body and Soul topped the UK Albums Chart for one week, and spawned the top 10 hit You Had Me.
The album and single received a 2005 Grammy Award nomination, while the songstress was nominated for best new artist.
