Fairways Primary School open day

WANDERERS- Fairways Primary School will host an open day on 12 March.

The school offers a hands-on approach from grade R to Grade 7 and welcomes parents and children in the area to come visit.

Parents will be welcomed by the chairperson of the governing body, Lee Villavicencio at 9.30am and refreshments will be served outside the school hall.

Grade 7 prefects and members of the fundraising body will be available to assist new parents with any questions they have about the school.

Principal Tracy Rae will be available to answer any questions.

According to Villavicencio, Fairways Primary School has about 530 pupils. “Our classroom sizes are kept small, and our curriculum focuses on academic and physical education where we look after each child and assist them in growing into responsible young people,” said Villavicencio.

The school has a number of extramural activities such as netball, swimming, cricket, soccer, drama, tennis, ballet, modern dance and karate.

The school is situated near Wanderers Cricket Stadium in Corlett Drive.
