If you are wondering what to watch at the movies during the festive season you’ll be happy to know that there are plenty of options.

The much anticipated The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is back with a second installment. The adventure of Bilbo Baggins continues as he journeys with the wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarfs, led by Thorin Oakenshield on an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf kingdom of Erebor. Directed by Peter Jackson it stars Sir Ian Mckellen, Martin Freeman and Orlando Bloom and will premier in cinemas on 13 December.

On a more light-hearted note Frozen is an animation for children. The main character, Anna, is optimistic and fearless and teams up with the rugged mountain man Kristoff and his

loyal reindeer. Anna’s sister Elsa has gone missing and icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. The animation makes its debut in cinemas on 20 December.

Bieber fans around the world can look forward to unfiltered interviews turned into a movie about the 19 year old. The Believe 3D Movie reveals answers to questions about his passion for making music, his relationships and his journey being in the spotlight. The movie will also include never-before-seen footage and behind the scenes access. The movie will be released on 3 January next year.

For all your action junkies Robocop is back with a fresh new cast starring Samuel L Jackson and Joel Kinnaman to name a few. InRobocop it’s the year 2028 and OmniCorp is at the centre of robot technology. The company envisions Robocop in every city and even more for their shareholders but they never counted on one thing: there’s still a man

inside the machine that’s pursuing justice. RoboCop opens in theatres on 7 February.
