Moyo asks for business rescue

The Moyo restaurant brand filed a notice to start business rescue proceedings.

According to a The Citizen report, Gootspa Investments group said the directors and subsidiaries filed the notice with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission on 1 October.

According to the report, the group said business would continue as usual, and that secure trust accounts were in place to deposit function and event monies.

“Business rescue affords protection for all key stakeholders’ interests in the business to be understood and protected while the optimal solution… is determined,” said the report, quoting the statement.

There are eight Moyo restaurants dotted around the country, including those at Zoo Lake and Melrose Arch.
