Parkview to hold Spring Flower and Music Festival

PARKVIEW - Music impresario Richard Cock and leading floral artist Georgie Currie will be part of the entertainment at a Spring Flower and Music Festival to be held at the picturesque church of St Francis of Assisi, Parkview, from 5 to 7 September.

Whilst admiring the superb flower arrangements prepared by a group of floral artists led by Currie, visitors will be treated to video footage of the 2013 Chelsea Flower Show, delicious food from the tea garden, as well as flea market-style stalls. Flowers will be on display around the church and gardens in Tyrone Avenue.

Children can also enjoy the playground in the church’s beautiful garden. There will be plenty of one-of-a-kind wares, Christmas stocking fillers, and food made by local community members.

The early Spring evenings will be filled with musical performances by the well-known Chanticleer Singers on 5 September, and combined choirs from several local parishes on 7 September.

Local musicians Nic Nicolaidis and Kevin Kraak will entertain visitors on the evening of 6 September.
