Two Parkview police officers honoured for their long service

Parkview police officers were recognised for their effort and dedication.

The Johannesburg District Commissioner Major General Max Masha hosted a medal parade and decoration ceremony for the Johannesburg district police force on August 23.

Lieutenant Colonel Daureen Nonyane and Sergeant Khumbulani Tshabalala after receiving their long service medals.

The Johannesburg police force filled the FNB Stadium in their blue formal set-out uniforms to celebrate the services they provide to the public. The main aim of the event was the handing over of the medals to the members for their long service in the police which ranged from 10 to 30 years.

Lieutenant Colonel Daureen Nonyane is honoured for her 20 years in service medal.

Captain Tintswalo Sibeko of Parkview Police Station expressed her joy that two of her colleagues were among the members who were honoured.
“Lieutenant Colonel Daureen Nonyane received a 20-year service medal and Sergeant Khumbulani Tshabalala received a 10-year service medal.”

Officers parade during the medal and decoration ceremony.

Sibeko added Masha encouraged the members of the SAPS to continue with their loyalty and commitment.
“He mentioned that members must never engage themselves in corrupt activities but serve the community with respect.”
