Win for Sandton SPCA as book shop opening is a great success

The Sandton SPCA’s recent book shop opening in Gallo Manor was well supported by the community.

The Sandton SPCA’s recent book shop opening was a huge success for both the community and the animal welfare organisation.

The permanent book shop, located at Morning Glen Mall in Gallo Manor, opened to the public on August 6 after a series of successful pop-up shops hosted by the organisation throughout the year.

The bookshop was donated by the Broll Property Group rent free to help raise additional funds for the society.

“We have been hard hit by the recent global events and our finances have been severely stretched as we try to help the ever-increasing number of animals needing our care,” said SSPCA general manager Meg Wilson.

The book shop carries a wide selection of good quality books, holiday paper backs, romance novels, elegant coffee table books, colourful children’s story books and so much more, there is sure to be something for everyone.

“We are so grateful for this initiative started by Kathy Raffray – she saw an opportunity to raise money for us and seized it.”

Support the Sandton SPCA by visiting the book shop at Morning Glen Mall, on the lower level opposite Clicks. Open on Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 to 16:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00.

The Charity and Book Shop located at Sandton SPCA in Marlboro Gardens will remain operating as per usual.
