St Teresa’s School Parent Teacher Association, holds prestigious golf day

School's golf day is a first after two years of Covid-19 restrictions.

Following two years of Covid-19 restrictions and minimal personal interaction, St. Teresa’s School was proud to host its inaugural golf day recently.

According to computer teacher and marketing liaison officer Lianda May, the golf day was held at the prestigious Randpark Golf Course with close to a hundred participants. May reported that Ceasefire South Africa came on board as the official partner sponsor and ‘thanks to them and other generous sponsors the day was a fun-filled one with loads of prizes, goodie bags, halfway meals, a prize-giving dinner and bespoke auction’.

Since the beginning of 2020, when all fundraising and social initiatives were halted due to the national state of emergency, the Parent-Teacher Association has been managing wish-list items for the school through small fundraising efforts.

“We decided to host our first-ever golf day, and welcome our school body, even those who are not golfers, as well corporates and the public as a means of raising funds for value-adding projects not budgeted for by the school,” said Annemie Kruger, chairperson of the school’s Parent-Teacher Association.
