Truluck says service delivery is his ward’s biggest issue

PARKHURST – Truluck said that residents need to log their problems properly, be more patient and dogged in escalating issues.

Ward 117 councillor Tim Truluck said that the main issues in his ward relate to proper and responsive service delivery.

“Many of the entities are crumbling along with the infrastructure and it is getting more and more difficult to get them fixed and stay fixed,” said Truluck.

He hopes that with the new leadership in Johannesburg this might change and entities will be able to perform properly and make plans to replace the old infrastructure.

He explained that ward councillors are on WhatsApp groups with the various entities where they escalate issues. He hopes to receive better responses from the entities.

“This in turn will give us the space to start doing oversight again and work on the bigger more visionary projects.”

Truluck said that residents need to log their problems properly, be more patient and dogged in escalating issues.

He also encourages locals to get involved in residents associations and other community groups.
