Trulife workshops at King David Victory Park

VICTORY PARK – Some of the school's learners enjoyed a workshop that taught them about cyber-bullying and more.

King David Victory Park’s grade 8, 9 and 10 learners recently participated in a Trulife workshop that centred around sexting and cyber-bullying as well as vaping and addiction.

Trulife is a non-profit organisation that prides itself in the need to inspire and equip children to help them make brave choices that will ultimately lead to better futures. Their workshops are said to be delivered in a creative, relevant, and unparalleled way through live school programmes, online curriculum, and teacher support

According to Gita Lipschitz, the school’s counsellor, through music, dance and slick performance the facilitators of the workshop took learners on an interactive journey through the dangerous realities of being a teenager today. “The learners found the experience very powerful, and it gave them valuable skills on how to be more ‘street-wise’ online and ‘cleared the air’ about vaping and substance abuse.”
