Parktown Girls awards achievers shine at Night of Stars
PARKTOWN – Spirits were high at Parktown High School For Girls recent Night Of Stars awards ceremony, which had a colourful Alice in Wonderland theme.
Parktown High School For Girls‘ Night of Stars awards ceremony took place on Thursday evening, September 30.
The fabulous theme of the night was Alice in Wonderland – filled with bright colours and quirky characters. The guest speaker, South African athlete Alyssa Conley, spoke around two pertinent questions: ‘what is your it (your purpose)?’ and ‘what is stopping you?’
Jessica Davidson was awarded the Tucker Trophy for sporting excellence, and Annabel Nyongwana, the Lazenby Trophy, for cultural excellence.
Cultural Woman of the Year was awarded to Chiddimma Nwokedi, and Sportswoman of the Year was awarded to Erin Helling.
Along with the winners on the evening, the names of the new 2022 sport, cultural and service captains were also announced.
