Find a furry friend at the Woodrock Pop-Up Shop in Parktown North

PARKTOWN NORTH – If you would like to adopt an animal, you will be required to fill out a screening questionnaire and have a home visit before the dog can be taken home. The cost of the adoption is R950 per dog.

Locals are invited to support the Woodrock Pop-Up centre at The Garden Shop in Parktown North by adopting a dog.

The shop, located off Jan Smuts Avenue, is open between 9:00 and 14:00 every Saturday and Sunday.

Co-founder of Woodrock Animal Rescue, Stella Meldau invites the public to contribute towards the organisation’s feral cat feeding scheme, which forms a vital part of the Woodrock outreach.

Woodrock traps and releases cats once they are sterilised.

“We are in dire need of cat food and litter,” said Meldau.

Residents are also welcome to donate second-hand vinyls, books and clothing to their second-hand shop. The organisation will collect items. To arrange this, please call 082 431 1333.
