Exemplary performance for Parktown Girls at Feda event

PARKVIEW – One of the festival’s organisers said, “Parktown’s work was beautiful, poignant, slick, original and beautifully executed. Wonderful music and singing. Such a delight to watch.”

Parktown High School for Girls congratulates the cast, crew, and directors for their exemplary performance at the Festival of Excellence in Dramatic Arts (FEDA) which took place at the Lesedi Theatre on 25 May.

The teacher in charge Kayla Mizen said the two plays performed were undeniably captivating, with learners representing the school with enthusiasm and excellence.

The plays were as follows:

Title: Iphukile

  • Directed by Chiddimma Nwokedi
  • Cast: Mbalenhle Zulu, Tuelo Diseko, Funeka Nduku, Sikelela Mahlati, Tinyiko Mahwayi, Oratile Baepi, Sabie Dabasi and Oleboheng Lephuthing
  • Crew: Taytum Sukhessan-Pollock.

Title: Magugu’s Home for Endangered Girls

  • Directed by Annabel Nyongwana
  • Cast: Lebogang Nkosi, Lemeez Bougaard, Katelyn Forbay, Liliana Ghidoli, Simphiwe Radebe and Joy Skriker.
