Support and relief for new mothers
HOUGHTON – Every few months donations of these bags of essentials are delivered to hospitals in the province.
With love, compassion, and dedication Union of Jewish Women Johannesburg (UJW) strives to improve and uplift the lives of those not as fortunate.
Office and projects manager Vanessa Weltman said they did so by supporting the less fortunate and bringing them joy. She shared that 200 Bags for New Beginnings would go to disadvantaged mothers who had delivered babies at hospitals within the Gauteng area.
“Many of these mothers arrive at the hospitals or clinics, deliver their babies and have to leave within 12 hours, and many leave with nothing. “Thank you to our amazing manager Bev Cohen, sponsors and volunteers who make all this happen,” said Weltman.
The Bags for New Beginnings contain essentials needed for newborn babies.
