Artists assist those in the medical field through Smile Foundation and Tixsa initiative

HYDE PARK – Smile Foundation and Tixsa have joined forces to make a difference and a number of artists have organised concerts to help.

Several South African artists are now also offering their services to assist those in the medical field. The artists are doing this by supporting the Smile Foundation Tixsa’s initiative.

This initiative was recently launched and involves the purchase of essential supplies/personal protective equipment (PPE) for those in the medical industry. Many medical workers are currently combating Covid-19 and unfortunately, safety gear is becoming less. Residents can directly help the initiative by purchasing the essentials as per the guidelines on the website, or they can help through supporting the artists.

In playing their part, artists will host online streaming of charity concerts where residents can show support by purchasing tickets.

Several artists have already joined hands and the foundation urges all agents to contact the team to sign their artists up in making a difference.

A legendary singer-songwriter, Anton Goosen recently hosted an online show and a portion of the proceeds was donated to this campaign. The public can look forward to more big names in the pipeline.

“Smile Foundation would like to extend a huge thanks to Tixsa for partnering with us on this crucial campaign as well as many other campaigns to uplift the lives of South Africans. The Tixsa facility is a highly reputable and highly recommended online facility that has evolved into being a platform used for the non-governmental organisations (NGOs) world to support their needs,” Hedley Lewis, CEO of Smile Foundation said.

Lewis added that this is now the time where your contribution will have the greatest impact ever and that anyone is now in the position to make a difference.

Tixsa is a private label software solution that enables the processing of online and remote donations – locally and internationally. Tixsa is donating proceeds back to the operational cost of other NGO’s, community-based organisations or ambassadors activating their communities in support of plausible and credible causes such as this initiative by the Smile Foundation.

Smile Foundation is a South African NGO that assists children with any type of facial or other conditions, to receive reconstructive surgery within South Africa. Now, during this incredibly challenging period that South Africa is going through, they also want to make a difference in the lives of those fighting for us.
