Sydenham and Sandringham Residents Association to hold Annual General Meeting on 19 February

SANDRINGHAM – The Sydenham and Sandringham Residents Association will hold an AGM at which a new executive will be elected.

Notice is hereby given for the Annual General Meeting of the Sydenham and Sandringham Residents Association to be held at Jabula Recreation Centre on 19 February at 7pm.

Adrian Chiger, chairman of the association, said the agenda of the meeting would include the election of a new executive committee as well as a discussion on proposed projects for the coming year.

In addition, the launch of the Blockwatch initiative for Sydenham and Sandringham will take place at this meeting, and all persons interested in participating in this initiative are encouraged to attend.

Prior to the meeting, there will be a short election for members to join the Sandringham Community Policing Forum (CPF), representing the residential suburbs of Sandringham, Sydenham north of Kinfauns Street, and Glenhazel.

The CPF is an important body whose primary tasks include assisting the police in their crime-fighting duties, as well as providing an oversight function for the deployment of police resources.

The CPF is regulated in terms of the SA Police Act 68 of 1995 and the Gauteng Provincial Community Police Board constitution. Kindly take note that this election is only for persons resident in the areas delineated or owners of businesses in these areas.

Chiger urged residents to please bring with them their identity documents and proof of residence if they are keen to be members of this forum.
