Johannesburg Water scoops three awards
JOBURG – Rand Water recognised the best performing municipalities in supply
Johannesburg Water was overjoyed when it won three coveted awards at the Rand Water Forum late last year.
Rand Water, as the bulk water supply in municipalities in Gauteng and parts of Mpumalanga, Free State and North West, recognised the performances in these provinces.
Johannesburg Water received three awards in the following categories:
- Operations and maintenance in the metro
- Best metropolitan municipality and
- Partnerships.
Johannesburg Water was also recognised in the water quality assurance category. In the acceptance speech, chief operations officer Derrick Kgwale thanked Rand Water and said it will inspire confidence in the team to do more in 2020 to sustain confidence by improving water and sanitation services in Joburg.
