Colonel Xaba meets with his managers and other stakeholders

YEOVILLE – The recently appointed station commander Colonel Happy Xaba is determined to eradicate crime.


Different stakeholders, police managers, and community members converged at the Yeoville Police Station boardroom on Wednesday, 4 September for a session to revive the working relationship.

The recently appointed station commander Colonel Happy Xaba briefly met with various stakeholders within the Yeoville policing precinct.

The session was aimed at reviving and building a platform for community engagement and community partnership from businesses, intergovernmental institutions, and community leaders.

It also aimed at strengthening the Community Policing Forums’ relationship with the police.

Colonel Xaba discussed the roles and duties of police incumbents. This also influenced business managers, faith-based organisations, Gauteng Department of Community Safety and the City of Johannesburg to establish formal structures that will meet every three months and discuss issues in their community.

The station commander also encouraged stakeholders to continue report crime incidents and ensure the safety of everyone with the policing precinct.
