BRAMLEY – Police also made several arrests during an ongoing weekend operation from 9 to 11 August.

Three men who allegedly robbed their victim of an undisclosed amount of money and a cell phone during the afternoon of Monday 8 July, are behind bars.

According to a statement from the Bramley Police Station, the arrest of the men, aged 26, 30 and 34, follows an investigation after the case was opened at the police station. It is alleged by the complainant that the three suspects were known to him as they operate together fixing vehicles in the Savoy area. Initially, the trio allegedly complained to the victim that he did not want to share customers with them.

Spokesperson for the station, Captain Molefe Mogodi said, “They have since appeared in court.”

In another incident, a 34-year-old suspect who was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, was expected to appear in court. The man was arrested when police were approached by a tracker company to assist in locating a stolen vehicle on Tuesday 13 July.

“The tracker directed the police to the Bramley area where they found the vehicle. The suspect who was working on the vehicle, was subsequently arrested,” said Captain Mogodi.

The vehicle was reported stolen by the owner at Edenvale Police Station and police are still investigating the incident.
