Three men behind bars for possession of dangerous weapons

BRAMLEY – Three men who couldn't give a satisfactory explanation when asked about dangerous weapons, are behind bars.


Police visibility in the community yielded good results when three suspicious men who were allegedly in possession of dangerous weapons were arrested.

According to Bramley Police Station spokesperson Captain Molefe Mogodi, police who were patrolling in Birnam spotted three men who abruptly started making suspicious moves. “It is alleged that the police members were on duty patrolling in the Birnam area when they saw the three men who allegedly started making suspicious moves when they saw the police approaching,” he said.

He said the three men, who are now behind bars, where then stopped and searched.

The police found a sharp instrument and knives in their possession. “They could not give a satisfactory explanation when asked to do so. They were detained at Bramley Police Station and will appear in court soon.”

Captain Mogodi said the station’s Crime Information Management and Analysis Centre (Cimac) unit will profile all the arrested suspects to establish if they are linked to other cases.
