Johannesburg Flying Squad busts suspected drug dealer in Bezuidenhout Valley

BEZUIDENHOUT – Police officers raided the house and found large quantities of drugs.

 


Johannesburg Flying Squad has arrested a suspected drug dealer in Bezuidenhout Valley following on a tip-off from the community.

According to the spokesperson for the Johannesburg Flying Squad, Sergeant Desmond Subramoney, the incident happened on 5 March.

Subramoney said police officers acted on intelligence-driven information about alleged drug dealing activities and arrested one suspect.

“Police officers raided the house and found large quantities of drugs which are suspected to be nyaope (heroine) and cocaine,” he said.

“The drugs were confiscated and police investigations continue. The suspect was arrested for dealing and possession of drugs. The suspect, aged 38, will be appearing soon in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.”
