Women unite in business
JOHANNESBURG – CBW is about harnessing the power of women to drive economic growth in Africa.
Commonwealth Businesswomen Africa (CBW) invites women to work together to forge new business relationships and create opportunities for trade and collaboration. This initiative was launched on 25 October last year with an aim to connect Africa to the Commonwealth world.
According to a statement issued on 25 March by director Farzana Varachia, “Commonwealth Businesswomen is a platform to upskill, empower and uplift women, to enable and encourage trade for women in business across the 52 countries of the Commonwealth.”
CBW Africa is about harnessing the potential and power of women in order to drive economic growth within Africa and Varachia concluded that this platform affords women that opportunity.
