MUST READ: Balfour Mall’s current hero

BALFOUR PARK – The Balfour Mall and Easy Security have honoured the great kindness of one their security guards.

Easy Security and Balfour Mall expressed great pride following an act of honesty and kindness exhibited by security guard Kennedy Mukendi.

Mukendi has been working with Easy Security based at Balfour Mall for six months. On 18 February a local shopper left their iPad in their shopping cart.

Mukendi said, “I found the iPad and wondered who it belonged to. I left it at my post and carried on with work. When I knocked off, I looked at the contacts on the device and called some people and found a family member.”

Once he got hold of the family member, he made contact with the owner who collected it on 20 February.

Spokesperson for Easy Security, Rejoice Chatindo said, “We commend Kennedy on his stellar work. When there is so much crime happening all around. It is very good to see glimmers of kindness.”

Centre manager Michael Simmelink added, “It’s great. He found an iPad and searched the numbers and phoned on his own cellphone. We were so impressed.” He said it was good to have someone like Mukendi on their security team.
