King David Linksfield score some great marks

LINKSFIELD – The matrics from King David Linksfield scored some amazing results in their exams.

 

King David Linksfield achieved some stellar results in the IEB matric exams.

Spokesperson for the school, Jodi Starkowitz said the matrics achieved an incredible 532 distinctions with an average of 3,26 distinctions per matric.

Three candidates earned nine distinctions. These are Yakira Cohen, Alexander Furman and Ryan Seligmann.

Yakira achieved distinctions in advanced programme English, accounting, Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, history, life orientation, maths and physical sciences. She was also placed on the Outstanding List, placing in the top 5 per cent in six subjects or more. She also placed in the top 1 per cent for English.

Alexander achieved distinctions in advanced programme maths, Afrikaans, English, French, Hebrew, history, life orientation, maths and physical sciences, and was also placed on the Outstanding List. He placed in the top 1 per cent for physical science.

Ryan achieved distinctions in advanced programme maths, accounting, Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, history, life orientation, maths and physical sciences. He placed in the top 1 per cent for accounting and maths.

The school had four of their matrics score eight distinctions. These were Daniel Abrams, Erin de Jongh, Doron Mindel and Eitan Shlesinger. Daniel achieved distinctions in Afrikaans, dramatic arts, English, Hebrew, history, life orientation, maths and physical sciences, and placed in the top1 one per cent for English, history and life orientation.

Erin scored distinctions for advanced programme maths, accounting, Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, life orientation, maths and physical sciences, and placed in the top 1 per cent for maths.

Doron achieved distinctions in accounting, advanced programme maths, Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, life orientation, maths and physical sciences.

Eitan achieved distinctions in advanced programme maths, Afrikaans, English, Hebrew, history, life orientation, maths and physical sciences, and placed in the top 1 per cent for English.

The school had an additional 20 pupils scoring seven distinctions including Guy Axelrod, Shane Bassin, Georgia Bayer, Adam Blumenthal, Aharon Cohen, Alex Cohen, Adam Feldman, Joshua Hertz, Jenna-Lee Israelsohn, Tammy-Lee Katz, Jemma Kerem, Gabriella Kinross, Tamar Lewis, Hannah Miller, Amber Sandler, Carly Soicher, Amanda Swirsky, Omri Temkin, Devin van de Laar and Riquel Weinstein.
