It’s all about recycling

LYNDHURST - Mrs South Africa finalist, Lungi Hlatshwayo, joins forces with Ronnie Recycle from Mpact Recycling.

Mrs South Africa finalist, Lungi Hlatshwayo, together with Ronnie Recycle from Mpact Recycling, recently visited two schools in Lyndhurst as a way to raise awareness on the importance of recycling.

Hlatshwayo and Ronnie Recycle visited Eden College and Lyndhurst Primary School to educate pupils on recycling and environmental awareness. The mascot also motivated pupils and teachers to recycle paper weekly via the Ronnie Bank.

Speaking about the visit was Hlatshwayo, also a Lyndhurst resident, who expressed the desire to educate the local community and schoolchildren on the importance of recycling. “As one of the 25 finalists in the Mrs South Africa 2016 pageant, I can’t wait to take up the challenge to green the minds of the Lyndhurst community and the youth ahead of Clean-up Week which runs from 12 and 17 September,” she said.

Mpact Recycling is a leading paper recycler in South Africa and among its goals is to educate consumers on the benefits of recycling. The company recently announced its continued partnership with the glamourous Mrs South Africa pageant for the second consecutive year.

The pageant finale will take place on 21 October at Emperor’s Palace from 8pm.
