Bramley police search for Savoy car-jammers

SAVOY ESTATE – Bramley police are on the hunt for suspect(s) linked to a car-jamming incident.

Bramley police are on the hunt for one or more suspects linked to a car-jamming incident in Savoy.

The crime took place when the motorist stopped to do some shopping.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, as the woman left to go to the shops, she locked her car and closed the windows.

“The motorist alleges that when she returned, she opened her car boot and realised that some valuables were missing from the vehicle,” Maphakela explained.

The stolen valuables included a work laptop valued at R12 000. Maphakela confirmed that a case had been opened at Bramley Police Station and that the police were still investigating the matter.

“We have opened a case of theft out of a motor vehicle and are still looking for the suspect(s) linked to the case at this stage,” he said. The case continues.
