Bramley police successfully nab 21 suspects

BRAMLEY - Police come down hard on crime as scores of suspects are arrested in Bramley.

Bramley police arrested almost two dozen people for various offences within the precinct in recent weeks.

The police managed to arrest 21 suspects for crimes ranging from driving while drunk to theft. Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, explained that most of the arrests were made for driving under the influence.

“Our officers arrested 18 people for drunken driving, while one person was arrested for theft, and another for possession of dagga,” he said.

And in a breakthrough, the police arrested one suspect within the precinct for an armed robbery incident.

Maphakela confirmed that all were detained at Bramley Police Station where they were charged with the various offences and have since appeared in court.
